I have noticed different types of homes for the people living here in Matsumoto.
For the most part, the outsides are simple and not always kept up, but from what I am told it's the inside of the house that matters.
Some are quite modern....
and some are very traditional....
But they are all very unique:)

I noticed the one you pegged as "traditional" to be one on the way to the backstage entrance of the performing arts building. Soon as you come out of the shrine grounds and are on that stretch of road that ends up skirting the pond alongside the performing arts building, this is the house that's sorta by itself between open lots on your right. I was wondering if the taller section toward the front and right was a recent addition.
Could be......hmmmm. Like I know anything. all I know is "ZENDA ROAD"
